Bridget and Jake got married last year in Woodland Park where I had the honor of photographing their intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. I was thrilled when Bridget reached out a few months ago to book an anniversary session with me in the same town they got married. These two live in California now, but the Colorado mountains keep them coming back!
We reunited on the evening of their session and drove down an outlying dirt road into the woods where we found a remote area boasting yellow Aspen trees. We stopped there for some photos and caught up over a couple beers before moving on to our next location. I brought them to one of my all-time favorite spots, an overlook with 360 degree views of mountains. It truly feels like you're in the clouds (fun fact: Woodland Park is actually nicknamed "The City Above The Clouds").
Colorado was showing off as we watched the most incredible sunset. We ended the adventure by popping some champagne and toasting to one year of marriage, which they make seem effortless. I love watching their chemistry and the way they just don't stop smiling at each other.
