I had the pleasure of photographing Faith and Tyler two years ago when they eloped at Garden of the Gods with their daughter, Grace, and closest friends.

This time around, they traveled back to Colorado Springs for some snowy maternity photos. When Faith told me she was pregnant with her second, I was so excited for them! It's such a joy getting to watch my clients grow their families and to continue capturing special moments as their love story evolves over the years.

For this session it felt right to go back to the place it all started. We were first in line when the park ranger opened the gates that morning and it was truly a magical sight. The park had been closed for the previous two days due to a record-breaking spring snow storm. The untouched powdery snow, the glow of the morning light, and the colorful sky made for the most incredible experience and photos.

Sunrise at the Garden is the best time for photos in my opinion. The park is usually pretty empty, the lighting is perfect, and we can visit more spots because we practically have the place to ourselves!

I had the best time taking Faith, Tyler, and Grace to several new spots in the Garden they hadn't seen before as well as one of the spots we went during their elopement. Before parting ways, I pulled out my bluetooth speaker and Faith and Tyler danced to the same song they had shared their first dance to two years prior. Feathered Indians by Tyler Childers will forever make me think of these two.
