Hannah and Zach traveled all the way from Hershey, Pennsylvania for their first trip to Colorado — drawn by their shared love for the outdoors and the chance to explore somewhere new together. Hiking, camping, walking their dogs, and adventuring side by side is how they spend their time at home, so it felt especially fitting that their first professional photos would reflect that same spirit.

Hannah originally booked this session simply because it was their first time ever having photos taken together. What she didn’t know was that Zach had reached out to me separately, quietly planning to propose during their session. The goal was simple: keep the moment natural, stress-free, and completely true to who they are.

We spent the session moving at an easy pace, soaking in the landscape and letting the experience unfold without pressure. When Zach asked the question, it felt effortless — a private, meaningful moment in a place that already felt special because they were experiencing it together for the first time.

After the proposal, we slowed things down even more. The excitement lingered, the smiles came easily, and the photos shifted from anticipation to celebration. It was one of those sessions that felt less like a photoshoot and more like documenting a chapter in their story — the start of something new, rooted in adventure and connection.

If you’re dreaming of a proposal that feels intentional, personal, and reflective of who you are together, Hannah and Zach’s session is proof that it doesn’t need to be complicated. Sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen when you’re simply being yourselves — somewhere new, hand in hand, ready for what’s next.
