There’s something incredibly special about photographing couples during this in-between season of life — when everything feels slow, meaningful, and full of anticipation. Jaidy and Camden’s maternity session at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs was exactly that.
Visiting from out of state, these two chose to spend part of their babymoon soaking in Colorado’s dramatic landscapes, and they couldn’t have picked a more iconic place. Towering red rock formations, wide open skies, and that quiet sense of awe that makes you pause — Garden of the Gods always delivers, but this evening felt especially intimate.
From the start, Jaidy and Camden were completely in their own little world. One of my favorite parts of this session was watching how attentive Camden was — always close by, making sure Jaidy felt safe and comfortable as we explored some of the rockier areas. Those small, genuine moments of care translated beautifully into the photos. It wasn’t overly posed or forced — just love in its most natural form.
We leaned into a slightly more adventurous feel for parts of the session, carefully navigating the rocks and letting the landscape frame them in a way that felt bold yet tender. Those images ended up being some of my favorites — a reminder that adventure doesn’t stop when life changes, it just takes on new meaning.
As the session came to a close, the moon began to rise over the formations, casting a soft glow over the park. It felt like the perfect ending — quiet, grounding, and symbolic of the new chapter Jaidy and Camden are stepping into together.
This session was a beautiful reminder of why I love maternity photography so much. It’s not just about documenting a growing belly — it’s about capturing connection, partnership, and the calm before life shifts in the most incredible way.
Jaidy and Camden, thank you for trusting me to document this season for you. Your love, patience, and excitement for what’s ahead made this session unforgettable.
If you’re planning a babymoon, traveling through Colorado, or simply want photos that feel authentic and intentional, I’d love to help you tell your story.
