From our earliest chats, Jamie and David described the vision for their wedding day to be simple with the focus on their love for each other and their families. In their initial questionnaire, Jamie explained how she and David were joining their families and currently building a new home for themselves and their five combined children. They dated for a year before getting engaged, and after overcoming some difficult circumstances, they decided they were ready to tie the knot.

After a bit of dreaming what their perfect day would look like, they landed on an intimate sunrise elopement at Garden of the gods at the end of September. On the morning of their wedding day, we met just as the sun was rising. David and Jamie shared a private first look before walking over to their remote ceremony location. Jamie's brother officiated as their nearest and dearest family members stood by to witness.

The ceremony was followed by group portraits before heading their separate ways. I always encourage eloping couples to take some time for just the two of them during their day if they have guests with them. You won't regret spending that cherished time together soaking in those just-married feels. After a bit of adventuring around one of my favorite spots in the park, Jamie and David shared a champagne toast and some delicious cupcakes.
