Kim and Niko were on vacation in Colorado Springs from Chicago, Illinois. They were staying at Garden of the gods Resort and decided to book a session with me while they were visiting. These two are married with seven kids between them, but they wanted some fun and adventurous photos of just them that celebrated their love story. I love when couples prioritize having their photos taken together... your story deserves to be captured, no matter how long you've been together.
On the evening of their session, we met just before sunset and hiked down a dirt trail to one of my favorite spots in the park. I had a great time getting to know them and I loved watching how they interacted with so much love and admiration for each other. There were storm clouds in the distance, but the weather held out for us and it turned out to be a perfect evening. When we were finished with their photos, we walked back to the parking lot and I learned it was actually Kim's birthday weekend and they were going to go out for a nice dinner afterwards. Such a perfect way to celebrate!
