Sara and Cameron met in Colorado Springs through a mutual friend. They have since moved to Boulder together where they now reside with their dog. Colorado Springs has remained a special place in their hearts, and although they are planning a destination wedding in Mexico next year, they wanted their engagement photos taken back where their story began.

On the evening of their session, we met at the iconic Garden of the Gods Park about an hour before sunset. It was a particularly crowded evening, but we made the most of it and were still able to find some secluded areas for their photos. The wind really picked up after we started shooting, but Sara and Cameron didn't let it phase them or affect their moods at all!

Whenever unexpected weather hits like that during a session, I usually tell my clients to just embrace it and consider it part of the whole experience! Sometimes tricky weather can make for some really cool photos - I personally love a whimsical windblown feel or a moody overcast vibe. The weather will be what it will be so it's best to lean into it and have fun regardless.

As our time together came to an end, Sara and Cameron popped some champagne and had a toast to their engagement. I am so excited for them and it was an absolute joy to capture these engagement photos. I look forward to continuing to capture their evolving love story for years to come!
