There are so many amazing spots in Colorado Springs to have your photos taken. I've rounded up a list of my top favorites around town with real photos from past sessions and a short description of each location. If you have any questions or you would like to find out more about any of these spots, don't hesitate to reach out. Also, if there is a spot you have in mind that is not listed here, I am more than happy to check that out as well! I'm always down to explore new places, so shoot me a message and let's make your vision come to life.

Garden of the Gods

The thing I love most about Garden of the Gods is that every single time I photograph here it looks a little different. There are so many hidden gems inside this park and I like to mix up the spots for each of my sessions to ensure your gallery is unique. Whether your looking for red rock formations, mountain views, nature trails, or all of the above - Garden of the Gods has it all and will definitely give your photos that "Colorado" feel I know you're looking for! See more specific locations here.

1805 N. 30th St, Colorado Springs, 80904

Red Rock Open Space

Red Rock Canyon has so much to offer. There are lots of options here - mountain views, open fields, a pond, and rock formations. It is usually less crowded than Garden of the Gods and offers equally interesting scenery. When I take clients here, I like to explore the different trails and mix up the scenery to get lots of variety in your gallery.

3550 W. High St, Colorado Springs, 80904

Fox Run Park

If you are looking for "forest vibes", look no further! Fox Run Park is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot, especially during sunset when the sun is shining through the trees. With towering pine trees in every direction, a serene pond, and a gazebo, this spot will give your photos all the magical feels.

2210 Stella Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80921

Ute Valley Park

Conveniently located on the west side of Colorado Springs, Ute Valley Park is a great spot to have your photos taken. Dirt trails, tall grassy fields, and pine trees right off the parking lot make this a desirable location for those who don't want to travel too far outside of town but still want some gorgeous scenery.

1705 Vindicator Dr, Colorado Springs, 80919

Helen Hunt Falls

As you drive up North Cheyenne Canyon Rd., you will come to the parking lot for the Helen Hunt Falls trail. Here you will find a waterfall and a creek to dip your toes in. Then if you're willing to hike about a mile up the trail with me, we can get some great mountain and forest views as well. It's all about the adventure with this spot!

3440 N. Cheyenne Canyon Rd., Manitou Springs, 80906

North Cheyenne Canyon

If you continue driving up North Cheyenne Canyon Rd., past the Helen Hunt Falls parking lot, there is another larger parking lot at the top of the hill. This is the parking lot for Seven Bridges trail. We will walk along the dirt road to get some pictures with the mountains and trees in the background.

Gold Camp Road

This unpaved, narrow road follows the former railroad from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek. It features mountain views, abandoned train tunnels, and overviews of the city of Colorado Springs. For this location, I typically suggest parking at the lot for Seven Bridges Trail and jumping in my car for the drive on Gold Camp Road. There are several spots along the side of the road that I like to stop and take photos, so it's usually easier if we travel in one car. Once the session is over, I will drive you back to your car :)

4415 Gold Camp Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906

Pulpit Rock Open Space

Pulpit Rock is a hidden gem located right in the middle of Colorado Springs, but once you're on the trails, you feel like you are totally out of town. The park offers dirt trails, lots of greenery, and stunning views of Pulpit Rock and the front range.

6411 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, 80918

Blodgett Peak Open Space

Right off the parking lot of Blodgett Peak Open Space, there are some great spots for photos. A gravel road, mountain views, dirt trails, and an open space area provide plenty of opportunities for a diverse gallery of images.

3786 W Woodmen Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80919

Black Forest Section 16

Located in Black Forest, Section 16 Loop trail offers a wide, flat gravel path that makes this easily accessible for all ages. It has shady pine trees, tall grass, and even some views of a distant Pikes Peak in certain spots.

8510 Burgess Rd., Colorado Springs, 80908

Paint Mines Interpretive Park

If you are looking for a unique destination that's only about 30 minutes outside of the Springs, let's head to Calhan to Paint Mines Interpretive Park. This park features some unusual geological formations of winding gulches, hoodoos, spires and grassy meadows. When you drive up to it, it doesn't look like much because it looks totally flat as far as the eye can see... BUT if you hike back a mile or so, the ground opens up to an eroded ravine revealing clay rocks of different shades of color. If you're up for some exploring during your session, this is the perfect place for you.
