I treat my sessions like a mini-adventure (I'm not a regular photographer, I'm a cool photographer ;)). My number one goal is to make sure we're all having fun - because the more you enjoy yourselves, the better the photos will turn out! So whether you want to hike a trail in Black Forest, climb red rocks in Garden of the gods, wander through the yellow Aspens in Woodland Park, or watch the sun set over Pikes Peak... I'm here to help you plan the most amazing photo experience for you and your partner. Think of it as the ultimate date night... you get to spend intentional time together doing something you enjoy - and *bonus* you'll walk away with incredible professional photos you can look back on for years to come.

THE PROCESS
After I receive your initial inquiry and we've selected a date for your session, I will #1. do a happy dance #2. send over a customized proposal and agreement. Once your 50% deposit has been paid, the date is secured in my calendar and I will follow up with my fully comprehensive planning guide and a questionnaire. The planning guide details everything you'll need to prepare including a style guide, location suggestions, and tips for looking great in your photos. The questionnaire helps me get to know you, hear about your vision for the shoot, and begin planning your unique photo experience.
On the day of your session, we will meet at the agreed-upon location usually about an hour or two before sunset. You may have some nerves when you arrive which is totally normal, but I promise I will guide you the entire time and have you feeling comfortable and relaxed before you know it. I have plenty of prompts and poses up my sleeve and I also enjoy capturing those candid in-between moments. I love taking couples to more remote locations that may require us going off the beaten-path, climbing up on rocks, or getting a little dirty... but it's all for the shot amiright?!
After your session I will work my photographer magic. This includes going through all the photos and hand-selecting the very best ones, editing and color-correcting each image, and creating a customized final gallery. Once this process is completed, I will send you an email with a link to your gallery where you can view, download, and share your photos. You can print directly from your gallery through my high-quality print shop or simply download all of your photos and print them wherever you'd like.
In short, all you really need to do is show up ready for a good time and a memorable experience! I'll do the rest ;)
FAQ
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Colorado Springs and love to travel! Adventure Sessions are local and include locations anywhere within an hour of the Springs. My Explorer Sessions are for those interested in going a little farther outside of town and can be used anywhere in Colorado. There is an additional $50/hr travel fee after the first hour.
When is the best time for a session?
Sessions are scheduled 1-2 hours before sunset for the best lighting. It's called Golden Hour for a reason!
Do we need to find a location or do you pick?
If you already have a location in mind, that's great! If not, I have tons of recommendations and would be happy to choose a perfect spot for your session.
What should we wear?
I send a session guide after booking that has style tips and outfit guidance. Neutrals & earth tones always photograph well and edit nicely.
Can we bring our dogs or kids?
Absolutely! I want your session to reflect your relationship in whatever stage that may be, so if that currently includes fur babies or human babies... I say bring 'em along for the fun.
When will we get our photos?
Galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session.
